Evaluation
In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and convention of real media products?
The length of the radio show is 40 second long. The reason for this is because when looking at other radio adverts most of the averaged around 40 seconds long. I then made sure that the channel that the show is being shown on is mentioned in the radio advert. The reason I used clips from the programme is to give the audience an idea of what the show is going to be showing. Another reason is because it follows the codes and conventions. A narrative voice is used to explain what the show is going to be about, I also added questions in which will be answered in the show.
How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
To do this we used the same title and included it in everything. the title we used was Pursuit of Happiness. Here below are examples from each project
In both promotional text the slogan 'Whats the icing on your cake?' is used, the reason is because it is relevant to all three aspects, as we use cupcakes in are programme. Below is examples why linking is so important and and example of the slogan being used
In both promotional texts we have included that it on channel 4. Underneath are examples of channel 4 being advertised.
To link the radio trailer and the programme we used the same voice over. The reason for this is to make sure they all link. Below is clips from the radio trailer and documentary of the same use of voice for the voice over.
The audio below speak about the overall meaning to conclude this question.
Question 3
